# Hey hey everybody!! Hope you're all doing great I want to save this…

Hey hey everybody!!  
Hope you're all doing great  
I want to save this poor Poinsettia however I'm not really sure how could I do it  
Planta told me to make a drainage hole in the pot however it's a ceramic pot  
I'm confused  
Should I use a drill to make the hole?  
I'd really appreciate your response  
Have a good one!!

Looks very dead from your photo.

Just fyi, Just because the app says add drainage holes doesn’t mean you can. You would need to repot it into something more suitable for the plant. In your case it’s just not a great pot for plants. Not impossible but increases the chance of over watering.

For future use of the pot if you must use it, see if you can find a plastic pot you can put inside it so you can remove the plant from the pot when you water it.

Take it out to see if any roots are still alive. If so, trim the dead stems and repot in a plastic pot with drain holes. Mix rooting hormone powder into the soil. Put it in a warm place with a grow light giving it 10 hours of light a day.
