# Noticed these little yellow dots this morning! This is the oldest…

_Publicado por JDW el 2024-06-02_

Noticed these little yellow dots this morning! This is the oldest leaf and he is unfurling a new leaf. Do we think it’s just the leaf dying off?? I haven’t changed the watering routine and it’s in well draining handmade soil. No I do not follow plantas schedule. lol it has been hotter and I know frydek are super finicky so it could have also wanted water sooner because of the heat. Hmmm. Just hoping it’s not a disease!!! 🥰

My alocasia’s had the same thing and since it’s in spots instead of large areas I think it may be disease. I got spider mites on mine soon after so double check yours!

I’m wondering if it’s a fungal disease like black spot, for instance. If so, four sprayings of neem timed every 7 to 10 days apart will do the trick. Otherwise, somebody will come up with an appropriate solution. Good luck! 😊💚🪴

Be sure to spray neem liberally on your plant, drenching tops and bottoms of all the leaves plus the soil. Very important to get everywhere on the plant with plenty of neem.
Good luck! 😊💚🪴

Do I wipe it off of the leaves after awhile or does it just need to sit? Sorry I’ve only just bought neem for the first time and have just been following the instructions!!

To answer your question, I spray neem to runoff on tops and bottoms of the leaves, and also, the soil. I try to do this outside on a day where there’s not much wind so there’s no problem with drift that could harm birds and bees. If it’s cold outside, I then bring the plants inside to dry. Don’t bother to wipe off the neem. Any more questions, just give me a holler. Good luck!
😊💚🪴
