I’m not sure about this one but I’ve heard that plants with lots of pale white spots are prone to browning due to lack of chloroplasts? I’m not sure how to prevent it haha

Because it’s on the lighter parts of the leaf, my first guess would be sunburn/too much light?

Ahhh that makes sense

Mine had these when it was at Walmart and I think they were overwatering or sunburn marks !

I also find some of my tropical plants get the “burnt” look when they don’t receive enough humidity!

I've had this exact problem on just the white parts. I learned that Silica can help with this.

The packets? How?

#### Fig Newton svarade den 2025-07-12

Not the packets, look up liquid silica for plants. TPS nutrients has one.

yep! this is natural behavior for white parts of the leaves over time. i use TPS silica gold on my thai (and all my other plants lol), highly recommend!
