# My pothos is starting to get a brand new leaf but I noticed this…

My pothos is starting to get a brand new leaf but I noticed this today.. it has popped out a couple other leaves and none of them have this on them  
The other leaves were like that when I picked it up. Could this be a possible bug issue?

Actually I think you’re all set! My pothos has done this a few times before when forming a new leaf . I’ve noticed it happens if the leaf gets damaged during the process of forming or unfurling . I wouldn’t worry about anything unless you continue to get leaves like this :) I could be wrong but I hope this helps!

It could be a pest, or just low humidity. I'd check over well. And add some misting when the next leaf comes along

my monstera gets leaves like this sometimes too, i’ve found that misting a leaf while it’s unfurling can help prevent the damage from happening sometimes :)
