Hi friends, what is this on my zz plant? I think it might be scale but I’ve never actually seen that before. It’s only on one stem. Thanks!

Hard to say, But it could be, seen some different varieties and it’s just hard to see them but i would buy into neem oil.

Doesn't look like mealy bugs but to be on the safe side I'd take a Q-tip with some alcohol to it. Won't hurt the plant.
