# Hi, I was wondering if I could get some advise on my plant (“Bella”).…

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some advise on my plant (“Bella”). I only got her a few weeks ago but have noticed some leaves are yellowing/others have shrivelled and gone brown. She’s not very close to the window so not sure if it’s a lack of light? I’ve been watering her once a week ish. Any help and advice would be much appreciated, I’m not very good at keeping my plants alive but want Bella to live on!

Where is your light source? Is the plant still wet when you water?

Light source is a window about 3.5 meters away and I’m letting the soil fully dry before watering

It most definitely needs to be closer to the light. Water and light are the two main success (or failure) items when working with plants!

I can’t tell what kind of a plant it is, but 3.5 meters is way too far. One easy “measure” is if the plant can’t see the sky from the window, then it’s too dark.

That’s so much for your help! I moved her to hang by the window and it’s doing much better and even grown a bit bigger :)

Looks like it’s above an air vent??

It’s a radiator but it’s switched off so shouldn’t be an issue
