# Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! My African Violet’s…

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!

My African Violet’s leaves have been floppy these past few months. It used to be perky but I’m not sure what happened. I water only when the soil is dry and I bottom water (occasionally I’ll top water so it washes out). Usually it perks back up after I water it but it just hasn’t been doing that recently.

I think you should start a group specializing in African violets!

From what I’ve read, I think they prefer bottom watering only. Perhaps it also just wants to be repotted, maybe the roots are feeling a bit cramped. I hope you’re able to figure out a solution so this plant baby can perk back up again ❤️

I’ll try repotting, it’s been a moment since I did that

mine does this every winter, i cut back the old and that’s new growth in the middle. should grow back fine

I’ve had this bad boy for 2 years, never seen it do this. Maybe it’s something that happens as it matures? Would you recommend repotting it anyway
