# Anyone know what's causing this? Haven't moved it and I've been…

Anyone know what's causing this? Haven't moved it and I've been following Plantas advice to a T. Checked it all over for bugs and it does have a few white dots on it and I'm not sure what they are so I'm spraying it with Neem and putting it in quarantine. But could those huge brown "burnt" leaves be caused by that?

those do look like burns — are you spraying the neem and leaving it in the sun? the white dots are most likely just minerals from the water being expelled

I hadn't.
I moved it out of the window though. Should I cut off those brown leaves?

I would leave them for now just because I think you’d have too few for a plant that’s in distress. Not sure what this is if not burns

The white dots are most likely mineral deposits (as eatyacarbs said), and it’s normal for the plant and won’t be what’s causing the browning.
If you are following planta to a T then you could be overwatering. You want to use it more as a reminder and only water if the plant actually needs it. Jade want to be completely dry as they store a lot of water in their leaves. They’ll also be slightly soft when you squeeze them (but ONLY if it’s completely dry. Soft leaves and wet soil is not good and definitely don’t water).

I also agree with not removing them at the moment. I would be checking the roots to see whats happening under the soil.

I’ve only had this happen once to my plant and it was sunburn. If you sprayed it and hadn’t moved it from the window that definitely could have caused excessive burns. See if it continues to get worse since moving it from the window.

Sun burn. I did this on accident treating mealy bugs. I disnt k ow neem oil removes the protective coating succulents have to shield from sun burn. Happens!
