I think they might be aphids!

They look like rollie-pollies (sp?) to me. I figured since it’s a 10 year old palm (amazing, btw!) it’s probably significantly thicker than it looks in the picture

yes they do! that’s why I am so confused! My palm was outside for a bit years ago… The bugs are pretty large in person

Watch out what soil you buy! Never But Cheap soil Like Miracle-Gro i never use that stuff Cause it’s filled With aphids and Soil mites Broken Pieces of Glass and Large Chunks of wood!! Like humongous Chunks of wood! Never use it get Premium Soil if you don’t wanna have to pay later!

The soil from what i can see looks like good soil i see no weird chunks etc.

its my normal soil! i wonder if the store I got it from had left it outside. Crazy because it was repotted last year

You can’t see the soul, though. I’m so glad you posted about buying generic soul! I am transitioning most of my plants to LECA, but will make sure to buy only premium soil for the ones that can’t be in LECA. Any brands you prefer for soil? Or do you buy a local mix?

I buy GOOD soil just anything like potting mix that’s not miracle grow is good Miracle gro has good potting mix ye but i only buy miracle grow Palm Soil for my palm that’s it!
