# Hey guys, my friend just gave me this calla Lily she was going to…

Hey guys, my friend just gave me this calla Lily she was going to throw away that is so sad. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? The whole back side of the plant died and fell off and it’s very droopy.

It looks overwatered I’m not sure though 🤔

Calla’s will occasionally die down completely and then start fresh. No need to worry if it keeps failing. Just trim off dead things once they are all crispy and she will come back.

If you want to make sure it’s not something more than that, let it dry out and check the roots and soil. There’s always the possibility that if it was frequently overwatered, it’s led to root rot, which can be treated.

Feel free to come back and tell us if there is root rot. I can walk you through how to repot and treat the roots if you want to save it.
