These marks have appeared on my jade plant. According to free plant identification app I found this is a Kleinia petraea. Any idea what could have caused this.

A few things:  
1\. mechanical damage from something. whether it was bumped, dropped, connected w a spiked cactus or whatever.  
2\. watering. either under or overwatered  
3\. sunburnt
