Hi. I’m new to Anthuriums and this new one I have recently bought as strange yellowing on one of its leaves. Literally only one leaf. No sign of pests or rot. I was thinking lack of humidity may of caused this. It now lives in a converted greenhouse cabinet with humidity currently around 85%

Is that a new or old leaf?

Older but not the oldest. Only leaf on the plant like it. The rest of it looks fine, from what I know of anthuriums

If it’s a new plant from a nursery then it’s probably not a nutrient deficiency because they load new plants up with fertilizer, do make sure it’s not overwatered because it makes the plant unable to take up iron which can cause the yellowing, lastly if it’s neither of those issues it could just be natural movement of nitrogen out of an older leaf. Nitrogen is mobile in plants and it will be taken from older leaves to make new growth.

Thank you. I always do a repot when I get new plants as I find they are either completely overwatered or undewatered. Then I can also check the roots to see if there are any issues under the surface.
It seems fine apart from this one leaf which to be fair is just aesthetic.
Tempted to chop it and try to do one of those skeleton pictures out of it 😂

I ended up cutting it off and making a skeleton leaf picture for the wall 😂
