I am not sure how to properly light or water this plant. I have had it for half a year and it has made no progress, it keeps growing leaves that soon die off. Maybe fertilizer?

They need fertilizer every month during the growing season and in winter if it’s putting out new leaves. I dilute it 50% and fertilize twice a month with it. I use Miracle Gro blue crystals. I add SuperThrive plant vitamins every time I fertilize. They do well with timed release fertilizer like Osmocote. Refresh the Osmocote every spring. They last 6-8 months.

I would change the soil to a standard mix with lots of perlite, about 1/3. I just add perlite to miracle gro potting mix for my arrowhead plants.

I water when the soil completely dries out or the leaves go slightly limp.

They like bright filtered light or early morning east light. My White Butterfly Syngoniums are shown in large pots meant for hanging. About 8 plants in each pot.
