My ghost plant Casper has dropped a bunch of leaves. Soil was dryish, so I lifted him out of the pot and spritzed the soil. Lifting caused another leaf to fall, so I’m not sure if I should water from the top.. I’m just worried about overwatering. I did move to a west facing window to give him more light. I’ve only had the plant a few weeks so maybe it’s still adjusting?

Could be adjusting but I’d recommend
bottom watering. I would put it back in a nursery pot so you can bottom water through that. Wait until the soil is fully dry before watering.

I’d wait until it dries out to repot so hopefully you can pull out all the soil, roots, and plant at the same time.

Don’t keep watering it. It likes to completely dry out and stay dried out for a little before watering. It’s a desert plant and holds moisture in its leaves. The soil looks wet. Put it in a bright sun area, doesn’t have to be direct or it can burn, but it will adjust to direct sun and stop burning if that happens. But it needs to dry out. If pot is soaking don’t wait to dry out. Its roots are drowning and it will get root rot. Best to repot into sandy rocky soil and let it stay dry for a day. Also before repotting spray the roots with antifungal spray. Dont water for a few days to let it adjust then give it a water and then dry out in between watering. Usually summer every 10-14 days max depending on soil and heat. And winter, monthly water is enough.
