Has anyone had tiny flies appear in the soil of their Monstera? If so how did you deal with it? Is this what is causing the browning of the leaves?

It looks like too much water in the soil rotting the roots based on the damage. Let the soil dry more between watering. Don’t follow a strict watering schedule to avoid overwatering.

Fungus gnats’ larvae live in the continuously wet soil and eat the decaying matter. Search the posts. There are many solutions to treat the gnats. I use Mosquito Bits every time I water to avoid the gnat issues. Mosquito Bits are the granular form of Mosquito Dunks. 🍀🪴
