# help! i have ants on my philodendron squamiferum!

help! i have ants on my philodendron squamiferum!

Check for aphids or other insects that ants like to farm. The bugs are tiny honey pots to the ants. The ants protect them and move them around the plant to feed. The bugs produce a sticky honeydew substance it creates from the sap.

Try neem oil. Ant bait traps are effective. Insecticidal spray works at the entry holes as a last resort when nothing else works.

i don’t see any aphids.. just ants. would the neem oil work on ants too?

I’ve never tried neem oil on ants.
