What’s going on here? Why is the bottom of this so fuzzy?

The nursery pot sits in a ceramic planter pot. Do I need to treat this? Repot?

Idk why it is fuzzy, but it might mean that you need to start watering it less

It looks like a fern of some sort and it probably had sphagnum moss in its soil mixture. That is probably super moist sphagnum moss. Does it smell funky? If not it’s most likely just fine. Those do like to be moist. Does the plant look ok?
