Bought this lemon button fern and I'm not great at taking care ferns. Anybody know what can help it get better? It clearly needs help, but I don't know what kind.

most likely inconsistent watering or lack of humidity

In my environment/house, these like light but regular watering and plenty of humidity. They also like more light than you might expect, definitely bright indirect and maybe even a little early morning sun if you have a northeast window. I have mine in a moist-but-airy mix, and one is in a net pot (like for hydroponics) inside a ceramic pot. It's hard to overstate the importance of airflow to their roots-- if you have a chunky mix, that might help, but otherwise see if you can figure out a way to get a little airflow to the bottom of the pot.

they are drama queens. they need incredibly high humidity and die easily. don't be too sad if it doesn't make it lol
