# Hey everyone ! How are we all ? I have a problem with botrytis…

Hey everyone ! How are we all ? I have a problem with botrytis constantly forming on my topsoil of houseplants for some reason.

I am not exp at using fungicides and I have tried tumeric as a natural remedy and it didn’t work.  
I also tried scrapping topsoil off but no luck as fungus spores have percolated deeper.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It seems most soil I buy has botrytis in now 😖

Buy a spray bottle of commercial fungicide and follow the directions. It will clear out the fungus. 🪴🍀

Is there any ventilation in the room? Any air movement? If the topsoil is staying wet, that’s the first thing I would look at. A small fan to keep the air moving would help with that.

I’ve had success with cinnamon fighting fungus. Sprinkle some on top of the soil, and maybe mix the top layer up a little bit if it’s gotten deeper. If that doesn’t help, you might look at replacing the soil.

Thank you I will try cinnamon before the fungicide as the plant is still fairly healthy !  
I can replace the soil but it’s strange it would grow I thought soil store bought was sterilised but I know it’s not always 100% effective .
