Help! My curly spider, Shirley has brown tips…is it from over or under watering…or something else. I water her according to the Planta app.

You have to ignore the app if the soil is wet. Spider plants like the soil to dry out before watering them. They have thick finger like roots that hold a lot of water.

I recommend checking the roots for rot and letting the soil dry out.

I don’t follow the watering recommendations for this reason! I like the knitting needle method!  
Get a metal needle and stick it in the dirt, if it comes out clean it’s dry, just like a cake!
