Hey guys! So… I’m a new plant parent and I’m learning how everything works. So far my plants are happy except my pink princess. Is there any hope for her? I do think I underwatered her but she always had indirect sunlight (maybe not enough though?).

Try repotting it. Might want to use a smaller pot and make sure you’re using filtered water when watering.

unfortunatly, this guy looks like a lost cause. unless you can find a node that is still healthy, it will not be able to grow any roots. remove the dead, black and brown leaves and stems, and if you see a healthy stem with a line where the leaf grows from, then you have a node and can attemp to root it! i would put it in a small cup of water, and make sure it covers the node.
if you dont have a node, the plant will not be able to grow :(

this actually looks like overwatering to me, as you have this small plant in a huge pot. the base of one of the stems also looks like its rotting, which is caused by too much moisture in the soil.
when repotting, you typically want the pot size to be 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball. if the pot is too big, the roots cannot absorb all of the available water, and it ends up sitting in a wet medium for a longer time than it can handle. this lead to rotting, which can quickly kill your plant if it goes untreated.

hope this helps!

This was so helpful, thank you! I never understood why the pot size mattered. I think I got too excited.

As a new plant parent and learning watering schedules I found an app like Planta to really help. You can set up each plant and all its information and get notifications when to water.

Also researching and learning if every plant likes to completely dry out before watering or if the soil should stay damp, each plant is different.

Also worth noting that you need water the entire soil and allow it to drain. Seems like it was done improperly as per the darker spots on soil.
