# False shamrock. It first arrived root bound and completely drooping.…

_Posted by Autumnal on 2024-05-29_

False shamrock. It first arrived root bound and completely drooping. Has done amazing progress and all leaves are perking up much more now. However the plant still continues to droop and be messy and has these green marks on the leaves.

I sorted the roots and everything and rarely water it but it stays wet. It has drainage. I dont see pests anywhere

What is happening?

My humidity in the room is often 65-75+ as im in the woods could this be why?

It could be several things: low light, over watering, poor drainage or poor air circulation.

Purple Oxalis Triangularis thrive in full sun. They tend to droop in low light at home or in no light conditions when shipped. Gradually acclimate it and move it to full sun or add a grow light.

Watering too often before the soil dries out can lead to root rot. Poor draining soil leads to root rot. The soil should dry out within a week. Increase air circulation to help. Add perlite or similar aggregate to help the soil drain.

The green on the leaves could be fungus. Treat with a fungicide, if needed. 🍀🪴

Im new to gardening what kind if fungacide do you recommend me using to insure plants dont have anything growing? And it gets sun here on the window for a while in mornings :/

Mine does really great in a cloche, keeps the humidity high, and the stems are nice and sturdy, hardly ever have to water it. Before the cloche it was doing what yours was.
