Help!

I just got this lil baby monstera and she is struggling. She arrived with a cold heat pack and miraculously survived the shock of a cross country move.

5-6 weeks later, I’m thinking that maybe I’m giving her a little too much humidity and wasn’t feeding her enough silica and fertilizer? (I literally just started yesterday)

The roots are also beginning to circle the bottom but haven’t quite made a full lap. Should I repot? Or give her some time to nom on that last feed?

It’s too early to repot since you barely have any roots. Repot when there are more roots than soil. Check again in spring.

Add some silica to the water, it helps the white not get scorched. This also probably came from a greenhouse/high humidity. which to little humidity will cause browning tips. Monestera are usually okay with a bit of root binding. So it should be fine in there for awhile.

Unrelated since other ppl were spot on, but you shouldn't tie your leaves to the pole 😬 Monsteras need their leaves free since they follow and track the light, you should only ever prop their base stem or "vine" when they get bigger. If that's the way it shipped, that was probably to keep them safe in transit, but they'll get very upset and start wilting if you keep the leaves secure 👌 Beautiful plant!!!

I’m correcting their grow path so they are facing the grow light 🥰 I got it super cheap because the leaves were super crooked. They are able to move freely as they are not actually secured down but loosely in a clip that is secured to the pole

They got wiggle room in there it’s just supporting the leaf if that makes sense

Oh perfect 😁 you know what's happening. I see so many new plant parents make that mistake and definitely didn't want you to lose this baby. Good luck on your corrective journey!

Thank you so much! I appreciate the advice regardless. 🥰 we are all just trying to help. I hope I didn’t seem defensive :))
