# Hi! I need some help with my plant here please. For the last 1.5…

Hi! I need some help with my plant here please. For the last 1.5 months, the bottom leaves have been drooping and turning yellow. I’ve probably lost at least 10 leaves at this point. I have it under a grow light and started to make sure to let it dry out a bit more between waterings. However I’m confused if it’s a watering issue or maybe if it’s just dropping leaves to grow more because I have 4 new leaves currently growing. Any thoughts? Thanks! :)

The lower leaves will die off as the plant produces new ones. As long as each stalk is growing more leaves than it's losing, you should be fine!

No problem! I'm sure once you get onto a good watering schedule consistently it'll be perking up in no time!

How’s is humidity ? Is your water too hard ? And what about the soil ?

Humidity is fine, and I don’t live in an area with hard water but perhaps could try filtered. Do you think that would help?

It doesn’t necessarily need filtered water if it’s just the crispy edges of the leaves. However, I assume it’s watering issues, as Hayley mentioned, it just needs consistency.

They like a well draining mix and a nice deep watering when it’s time usually for me thats when it’s about 75% dry
