# I ordered a monstera and just discovered it had either rust fungi or…

I ordered a monstera and just discovered it had either rust fungi or bacteria leaf spot. The plant is gone because every leaf was infected, but when repotting a week or so ago I mixed the original plant soil with the bag of mix that i have \& it inevitably could have been mixed in with another plant or two that were also repotted. I know that rust can only effect a few certain species per type \& the plants show no sign of infection yet nor were they very close to the monstera, but could it potentially spread to those plants through the mixed soil or does the fungi leave the soil as soon as it gets the chance to jump on the plant? Also am i better off scrapping my entire tub of soil or is it still good? \& is there any way to treat it so i can be sure? Thank you!
