# The app is saying my birds nest fern is over watered, but I don’t…

_Geplaatst door Mel op 2024-12-18_

The app is saying my birds nest fern is over watered, but I don’t think that is the issue. Do you? Several weeks ago a leaf started to brown and dry, since then it’s more of them. I’m not seeing an insect, but identifying that as an issue is not my strong suit (this coming to all of you).

Help please. Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm possibly humidity? Since winter started several weeks ago and ferns love humidity

I have this plant so I’m worried for you. Ferns like moisture. I water mine once a week typically but will let it dry out periodically. I use a moisture meter to test the soil moisture - kind of helps. I’m in FL where humidity is always present it seems! Try pulling away from the wall where it can get better air flow perhaps? I rotate mine a couple times a week. I hope she gets better!
