# I believe my monstera deliciosa has a fungal infection from being…

_Pubblicato da Figleaf il 2024-05-13_

I believe my monstera deliciosa has a fungal infection from being overwatered. I am cutting down on my watering and reducing it to every other week, but was just wondering if I should cut these parts off or just leave them?

I usually cut sick/damaged leaves on mine at the base of the leaf’s stem where it connects to the main plant’s stem

Don’t water on a strict schedule, make sure the soil is dry first. I recommend using a skewer or chopstick, stick it into the soil and leave it for a minute or two. If the the skewer comes out relatively clean your plant is ready for water, if the skewer is damp and soil is sticking to it you can hold off watering.
