# Help 😩 First off, every alocasia I get will only grow 2 or 3 leaves…

Help 😩

First off, every alocasia I get will only grow 2 or 3 leaves and when a new one grows, the old leaf dies. I know this can be common, but I see these beautiful alocasias all over and mine are just wimpy 🥺

Secondly, this alocasia has recently put out two new leaves, but when they unfurled, they had mealies in them - about 4 or 5. I treated both times and there aren’t any mealies or signs of them on the rest of the plant, only on the new leaves that unfurl.

Any suggestions?
