# Hey! My tomato plant has a few tomatoes but the stems and leaves are…

Hey! My tomato plant has a few tomatoes but the stems and leaves are not going well at all. The past few weeks the leaves have turned yellow and a take them off every time but now it’s gotten to the point where there are so many of the yellow leaves. The stems have also just recently become brown and speckled. Any idea on what it is and what I should do? I thought it was overwatered so I haven’t been watering it unless it light rains and I have been giving it nutrients, but I don’t know what else to do. Please let me know what I should do.

This has so little foliage I’m thinking it didn’t get enough light. Tomatoes need full sun. I don’t think you can really turn this around and get a good yield of tomatoes from this plant this year 😕

I agree. It’s end of season. It won’t fully recover. Put it in full all day sun to see if recovers a little. Most edibles grow in full sun, about 8 hours of sunlight. It will be an experience for next season.

I would also use a 5 gallon bucket or a pot of similar volume and fertilize with fertilizer specifically for tomatoes (acidic). 🍀🪴
