# Hello! Ive had this monstera for nearly two months now and it seemed…

Hello! Ive had this monstera for nearly two months now and it seemed to be doing pretty well, new growth and fenestration in the new leaves, but recently I’ve noticed these black/brown patches on the older leaves and the tip of the most recent leave is brown before its even unfurled. Google has so many options on what could be causing this anything more specific would be much appreciated.

Mine was doing this too, I reduced the frequency of watering and gave it more light and it sorted itself out

I would check the roots, looks like overwatering.
