are these spider mites on my alocasia frydek?

i just picked up this plant today and i suspect there are spider mites. the seller insists that they are healthy but I just want to make sure before i put it with the rest of my plants. i have given it a wash and wipe since taking these photos.

Good call on the wash! I think from what I can see there were some signs of spider mites, I would continue to either spray/wipe down with a mix of either dish soap/water or 70% isopropyl alcohol/water and wipe down for the next few days. If you continue to see webbing or white spots, I would recommend changing out the soil but still continue the cleaning process. This has worked for me so I hope this helps :)

sure looks like spider mites to me! keep treating because they lay eggs under the surface of the leaf so they’ll keep emerging for a while — a good rinse every couple of days. the soil will be fine

I’d also suggest keeping any new plants from the older ones for a time. I usually keep mine in a quarantine area for a minimum of 2 weeks to observe and make sure nothing is going to pop up.
