does anyone have any tips for dealing with mold on top soil?

I remove the mold with a teaspoon, and then sprinkle cinnamon on top of the soil.

Awesome, I’ll try that! Do you think I should repot my plant (elephant ear plant) ?

A commercial fungicide can get rid of fungus in the soil. Neem oil is a natural fungicide as well as an insecticide.
