# Hi all, please help! I just got my birds of paradise and I’m worried…

Hi all, please help!

I just got my birds of paradise and I’m worried that leaves are curling too much. How can I address this?

There’s a new leaf coming in which is good. I’ve been watering it once a week with enough sunlight and moving it around when there’s too much.

There’s this one leaf that’s a bit damaged, should I cut it?

Also wanted to know how often should I continue to water this plant?

The potting medium looks incredibly dry for a bop. They like to stay moist but not wet. They also prefer higher humidity so it may need a humidifier

The soil looks too dry if you’ve repotted it and used only tropical mix or a chunky mix it’s too dry you need to mix the soil with regular soil and extra perlite.
