In an ideal situation, it's simply an old leaf dying back. When was the last time you repotted? Sometimes if it's bottom leaves, it can point to root binding, and roots being in the bottom of the pot. They stay wetter longer, and can yellow some leaves

it hasn’t been repotted scince i got it 😭

That may be the issue then, it's getting root bound. And needs a repot

Yes what they said! Old leaves will die naturally but a repot every couple years will keep it happy. And they like to dry out between watering. I use bamboo sticks in my pots to pull out and check the moisture level.
