# Confused on what’s happening in the first photo. There’s white…

Confused on what’s happening in the first photo. There’s white appearing on my Pygmy Date Palm and no idea if it’s from stress or something else.

I’m comparing it to the second photo because they get the same amount of water, same amount of sun, and around the same amount of shade.

I’ve been watering 2-3 days for the last 3 weeks (I planted them 3 weeks ago). New to planting (especially with this plant). Thank you in advance.

The new friends have a whitish coating / bloom (not as in flower but is in a coating) when they are new.
