I have a question regarding outdoor plants. Does anyone cut back their peony bushes in the fall? And what about daylilies? Should those be cut back?

I cut my peonies right back to the ground when the leaves have browned. Daylilies not necessarily depending on where you live and if the leaves stay green through the winter.
