# 👋 Plant Newbie here! This is my first time owning Golden Moneywort…

_Posted by Plant Newbie on 2025-10-29_

👋 Plant Newbie here! This is my first time owning Golden Moneywort (got them in about September I believe), she isn’t looking so happy lately. Side note: this is probably 6-8 individual plants in a large pot for my biggest indoor only tree. Is this normal for her? Do I need to trim her back? 😵‍💫🪴 Thanks!

Creeping jenny is a fast-growing, spreading plant that can become quite large. It is known for its aggressive growth, with stems that root wherever they touch the ground, allowing it to cover a lot of ground quickly.
Yes, you should trim your creeping jenny

Regular pruning helps to manage the spreading nature of the plant and prevents it from becoming invasive

Thank you so much for the info! I didn’t want to stare at dirt in my biggest potted tree that stays indoors all year lol. I will trim it back! 🤗🪴
