# Newbie plant Mom here. Maybe a ridiculous question? I have a thrip…

Newbie plant Mom here. Maybe a ridiculous question? I have a thrip infested alocasia that I have been treating/ battling for about 2 years now. My first few months using this app I’ve done a few different things \& it’s doing better - and is currently outside for summer. In the meantime the planter stand I have sits empty inside- no plants anywhere near it. Should I do anything to this planter to ensure the that thrips aren’t able to hang out awaiting its return when the weather turns cooler \& it comes back inside? If I have to scrap the planter I will - I don’t want to sacrifice any other plants. Thrips are evil and the bane of my existence - they are so hard to get rid of!  
Thanks for any thoughts or experiences with this.

Rinse it out and use alcohol to do a wipe and you should be good!
