# Brand new plant. Just had it a week. I left it in its original soil…

Brand new plant. Just had it a week. I left it in its original soil and pot because I bought it from a very reliable nursery and figured I wouldn't shock it right away. However, now that leaf is turning black and drippy. Those are actual water droplets at the bottom of it! I'm thinking I should cut off the leaf and change the soil. Sound right?

Yes it’s probably overwatered from what I can tell. Nurseries (as reliable as they can be) can’t always give the best soil to all plants because it gets expensive quick.
