# I got this huge Cattleya orchard of our local take one, leave one…

I got this huge Cattleya orchard of our local take one, leave one table. I had orchid medium but not an orchid pot that this beast would fit in. Which would work better, terracotta or plastic? I temporarily put it in plastic because I figured the terra-cotta might stay wet and rot the roots. I'm not good with orchids so I honestly have no clue.

I don't think it makes much difference in my experience, but I have orchids in ceramic and plastic and there isn't much change in the two results. I would put it in plastic until you know for sure the pros and cons of each pot for Cattaleyas
