# So for these two plants , caladiums and dark leaf Colocasia’s, does…

So for these two plants , caladiums and dark leaf Colocasia’s, does anybody have care tips? Mine constantly drop leaves and droop and lose color and I can’t figure out why. I believe with the black magic it may be a watering issue , but for the caladiums I’m not sure! Let me know your thoughts :)

Also, for context, I repotted them both today and gave them a light watering in case it was something to do with that. The root systems looked normal and healthy . Hmmm

So I have a black magic too and I’ve been struggling with mine for a while. All three leaves have died since it arrived but once I got it a humidity dome it popped out a new leaf just as the last one died! So it might not have the right humidity. I would also recommend fertilizer!

Okay great thank you so much! I fertilize with a diluted concentration every watering :)

That might be over fertilizing them! That’s an actual thing I learned that the hard way myself. The app should give you pointers on how often to fertilize them!

As long as you’re fertilizing at half strength, that should be ok. I’ve been doing that for a couple months now (it’s what my favorite greenhouse said to do) and I haven’t seen anything bad.

Great thank you! I just use a worm compost fertilizer so hopefully I’m not over doing it , but will do!
