# Just need opinion’s … so I seen somewhere that rice water works well…

Just need opinion’s … so I seen somewhere that rice water works well for pothos.. snake and spider plants. I’m wondering if this is true? Has anyone tried it ? Is yes. What were the results 👀👀

I tried it once in the past and my plant grew mold 🫤. Maybe I used too much 🤷🏽‍♀️. Also, don’t keep any of the rice water to use for later. The smell after sitting is horrendous! 😇  
After reading up on it, rice water acts as a fertilizer so if you already use fertilizer, you don’t need it.

Rice water can also increase your chances of fungas gnats or make them worse if you already have them. I’d steer clear of it
