# So I’m slowly trying to introduce my girlfriend’s cats to my plant…

So I’m slowly trying to introduce my girlfriend’s cats to my plant children, (spider plant and prayer plant.) All of the plants I own are non toxic to cats. Unfortunately I found out both these little munchkins enjoy sampling their plant siblings so I wanted to ask if there were any natural remedies or tips that will keep her kitties from committing plant murder?

Spraying some bitter apple spray on the plants would make it taste unappealing for your girlfriend’s cats. It does look like you have a spider plant which cats really like, it’s not toxic to them but it’s like a drug to them. So maybe watch the kitties around that one a bit more than the others lol 😂 Hope this helps!

Unfortunately yeah 😭 but I have a spider plant and a cat, I just watch them and he hasn’t yet shown interest luckily. As long as you buy some kind of spray it should work out!

Yeah… I made the mistake of letting one of the cats get in close proximity before I made this post to see what it would do and the spider plant lost a leaf. Didn’t realize I accidentally became a drug lord until it was too late lmao. Now one of them is obsessed with it 😭. I will try those sprays and keep the spider plant out or reach from now on 🥲. Thank you so much for the tips! 🙏🏻

Diluted lemon juice sprayed on. Bitter yuck/lime spray. Rosemary or lavender sprinkled around You can also get they appropriate chewers like some cat grass or catnip.

The spider plant is a cat favorite. I put it in a hanging basket so mine couldn’t reach it as easily.
