# can anyone help me with my rubber plant? i have just repotted today…

can anyone help me with my rubber plant? i have just repotted today but is there anything i can do to help these leaves?

a few different things can cause this. if the brown edges are dry, it might be a lack of light. these guys want and need a lot of sunlight! direct sunlight. mine is a little less than a foot away from a south window and it’s so happy there!

that pot might also be a hair too big for the plant. the pot should be about 1-2” bigger than the root ball. if the plant is in a pot too big, the soil will stay moist for too long, especially if it’s not getting enough light.

and that soil might be a little too dense for the ficus. a good chunky mix will help with aeration and drainage. you could use the mix you have but add some perlite and orchid bark.

i have moved to a sunnier spot today so fingers crossed that helps ! and will definitely look into making a chunkier soil mix, thank you :)
