Hi! I received this cactus as a gift a few months ago, and it has slowly developed yellow/brown discoloration. The AI diagnoses through the Planta app said it was a fungus and instructed me to remove the bad leaves from the plant. But that’s difficult to do on a sharp cactus lol. Any other suggestions?

I would repot it in dry, gritty cactus mixed. It looks like it's been over watered. You can treat fungal with 1:3 parts dilution of peroxide, if you don't have Antifungal on hand. Treat every 3 days for at least 3x

The ai usually has bad diagnoses. I would do research if it's something you don't know about. This looks like over watering I'm pretty sure.
