# I cut off a piece of my Mini Monstera to propagate but now the stem…

I cut off a piece of my Mini Monstera to propagate but now the stem that’s left has turned black and soft. Do I have root rot or is it something else? What can I do to fix this? The plant is still growing new leaves.

cut it off and see what it does, I think it’ll be just fine

was it sterile? when you cut it  
it doesnt look like rot but it could be the angle
