# I got this Boston fern about 3 weeks ago.. I travel a lot and watered…

I got this Boston fern about 3 weeks ago.. I travel a lot and watered it once a week. Came back to it being all dry and crumbly. I am assuming it didn’t have enough sunlight and I just moved it closer to the window. Any suggestions? 💚🍃

What was the moisture of the soil before you watered it?

I can’t remember. I would assume it was dry at the top and then a little wet in the middle

Could definitely be a water thing. Thankfully an easy fix! I have the same type of fern, and I tend to water it every 5 days or so and that seems to do well. Leaves will get crispy like that if it goes a few days over
