Hi! I repotted this beauty about 3 weeks ago and leaves began to yellow, turn black and die. It’s been nothing but healthy until the repot. It needed to be repotted because it wasn’t soaking up any water/fertilizer and the roots were coming out of the planter. HELP!

So these plants will shed the bottom leaves over time to reveal its stalk. However, yellowing to brown soft mushy bottom leaves means too much water.

It looks like there’s no nursery pot so I’m guessing too much water with no drainage or the drainage isn’t draining right. Sometimes the hole on some pots is actually higher than the bottom or if it’s not a big enough hole the water tension holds itself in rather than run through the hole.

I’d check the roots for black or mushy roots.
