Are you letting the soil completely dry out in between watering?

No humidity and less light in the winter will do that to a Calathea. Don’t give up on it, I thought mine was dying too and then during the summer I put it outside on my screened gazebo with no direct sunlight and it grew like crazy. I know nothing about the money plant but I can assume maybe the same? And less water during the winter too.

Also a humidifier might help as misting only raises the humidity for about an hour.

Misting only raises humidity for a couple minutes. A humidifier or diffuser will help add some humidity during the winter season.

thank you everyone for your suggestions!!

i’ll try to let the soil completely dry before rewatering \& add more humidity w both plants and see how that works out 🙏🏽

Personally I don’t recommend letting a Calathea completely dry. This can stress the plant because they prefer moist soil. I usually let the top 1/3 or 1/2 of the soil to dry before I water. Also make sure you’re using filtered or distilled water for the Calathea as they are sensitive to minerals in tap water. How much light are they getting? My Calatheas get 12 hours under my grow lights every day and all of them are thriving. I mist mine frequently, have them in a room with a humidifier, and have them fairly close to each other and other plants to increase the humidity around them.
