Is there any hope for this Calathea?

Moved near grow light Hoping it might get a new shoot. Am I deluded?

Ahhh, the joy of calatheas, lol! I have one that looked similar. I repotted mine in Lechuza Pon and it has one leaf left and several new leaves coming in now. It looks promising. I have all of my more temperamental calatheas in pon and they are doing really well.

Oh, and I don’t use tap water for them!

Agreed, my calathea was sick just a few days ago because of tap water. I repotted and cut some leaves. Re-watered the new soil with filtered water, put her under a grow light and she’s back to normal. Goodluck!

Maybe. But it looks like you have a pest problem. I’d cut everything down and then treat it.

Agreed, DeeDee’s got a great suggestion: no tap water. They are picky with water bc they usually receive water from the air and canopy of a forest instead of from the ground where the water can be more acidic.

I almost killed mine using tap water lol, but like DeeDee I was able to nurse mine back!
